Hola encontre este estudio en internet me parecio interesante:

NIZORAL 1% STUDY SHOWS BENEFITS FOR PATTERN BALDING

In a study presented to the Am Academy of Dermatology, the researchers associated with McNeil, makers of the 1% OTC version of Nizoral Shampoo found that it had, as it has been shown for the 2% precription version, beneficial effects on Androgenetic Alopecia (MPB).

In short they found that 1% Nizoral Shampoo reduced sebum emission, and increased hair shaft diameter (which decreases in MPB) after being used 2-3 times a week for a period of 6 months. They also found a percentage increase in the overall number of anagen hairs, which typically decreased overtime in MPB. By comparison they found Zinc Pyrithione Shampoo (Head and Shoulders) did not decrease sebum emission or increase hair shaft diameter, but did increase the overall number of anagen hairs as well.

The decrease in sebum emission caused by 1% Nizoral Shampoo, seems to confirm its antiandrogenic action, which is though by most to be only one of the reasons it helps hair loss.

Segun comenta este estudio el shampo con keto utilizado 2 o 3 veces por semana en un plazo de 6 meses produjo: reduccion de sebo, incremento en el diametro de las fibras capilares y ademas incremento en el rango de cabellos en fase anagena.
En comparacion con el que contiene zinc pyrithione (como el H&S) no se observo disminucion en el sebo o incremento en el diametro, pero SI aumento en la cuenta de cabellos en fase anagena.
Si esto es asi efectivamente es un combo mas que recomendable el de H&S y algun shampoo con ketoconazol. Saludos.

Hola, es interesante tu cita sobre el uso de soluciones de piritionato de cinc en el tratamiento de la alopecia androgenetica, aunque no sabria decir si el tratamiento con el transcurso del tiempo vaya a reportar beneficios "tangibles" por si solo, creo que, aunque sea, un granito de arena podria aportar al tratamiento de este problema.

Aca hay otro estudio sobre el uso del H&S para esta cuestion.
